Most of what people worry about with money doesn’t move the needle at all. Headlines about the interest rates, inflation, and market crashes are designed to scare you, not help you build wealth. Even though I love to talk about the fine tuning, we can’t lose sight of what makes the biggest impact.

Instead of running through the desert and worrying about whether the tectonic plates are shifting, focus on running faster and running further if that’s your goal.

It’s the same with money. The hacks are fun, but they’re a distraction from the two things that actually matter: earning more and spending less. The gap between those two numbers is the entire ballgame. A mediocre investor putting away $1,000 a month will beat an optimal investor saving $100 a month, every time.

“I don’t understand dividend reinvestment, so I’m gonna spend every dollar I earn” keeps you broke. “I don’t understand investing, so I’m gonna work on saving while I learn more” is how broke people become millionaires.

Focus on the big stuff. Keep learning along the way. Become a millionaire. Retire early. That’s the real wealth-building hack.

As always, reminding you to build wealth by following the two PFC rules: 1.) Live below your means and 2.) Invest early and often.

🔥 Comment ROBO and I’ll DM you 4 simple steps to start investing in an IRA, even if you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing.

Let’s make you a Roth IRA overachiever...because “future you” deserves more than just good vibes.

A Roth IRA is a tax-advantaged retirement account where you contribute after-tax dollars and then never pay taxes on that growth again. Ever. 👀

Translation: at the ripe age of 59½, you get to pull out your money completely tax-free. 🤑

The IRS doesn’t get a single crumb.

Here are the 2026 contribution limits:

→ Under 50 years young? You can contribute up to $7,500
→ 50+? You get $8,600 (the “I’ve been adulting longer” bonus)
→ And you have until April 15, 2027 to max it out — no rush, but also... don’t sleep on it.

Not starting because you don’t think you have enough money to start?

I included smaller contribution examples in the infographic — even $10/month counts.

Start small.

Don’t know how to open a Roth IRA or what to invest in?

🔥Comment ROBO below and I’ll send you 4 steps to get started in minutes.

No experience, no jargon, no excuses.

Last month, a new familiar face joined the S&P 500: Reddit. What does this mean for you? NOTHING! In fact, the S&P 500 swaps companies about 25 times a year and if you’re doing things right you won’t even notice. Going back to 1996, only 147 of the 500 companies on the S&P 500 list at the time are still included today. Index funds self-cleanse. Companies get booted off the list for all kinds of reasons. They shrink, get acquired, go bankrupt, or get replaced by the next big thing.

* “Buying Apple/Nvidia/Google/Whatever is a sure thing!” Why buy the “bad” stocks when you can just buy the gold-standard companies that are sure things? If I knew that, I’d have several yachts off the coast of Fiji. When you look through these lists, you realize that a “sure bet” of one decade may be the dying giant of the next. In 20 years, the top 10 will almost certainly look very different.

* “Tech giants have gotten too big.” Doomsdayers tell me how Nvidia, Apple, and Google alone make up over 20% of the S&P 500 and that “tech giants have gotten too big.” Well guess what? In 1973, IBM, AT&T, Exxon, Kodak, and GM made up 25% of the market. Since then, the S&P 500 has returned 27,029% (a CAGR of 11%).

That’s the “self-cleansing” nature of index funds. If you bought an index fund at the beginning of 1973, you would have realized a 27,029% return without doing any of the work of picking stocks. An index fund automatically adds the newest, fastest growing companies as they become big enough to be listed and drops the oldest/dying companies as they fall off the list. That means you always own the biggest and growing stocks in proportion to their size. If the tech giants of today aren’t going to be the biggest companies of the next decade, who will? Who cares! We own them all, and we'll benefit from the growth of every company.

As always, reminding you to build wealth by following the two PFC rules: 1.) Live below your means and 2.) Invest early and often.
