40 & Dad EPISODUL 9 — SALA DUPĂ CE DEVII PĂRINTE
De când am devenit tată, sala nu mai arată la fel.
Nu mai ajung de 3-4 ori pe săptămână.
Uneori ajung o singură dată.
Uneori trebuie să aleg între somn, familie, muncă și antrenament.
Dar când ajung aici, îmi amintesc de ce am început.
Nu trebuie să fii în formă maximă.
Nu trebuie să ai o oră liberă.
Nu trebuie să fii motivat.
Trebuie doar să începi.
Și asta nu e doar pentru tătici.
E și pentru mame. ❤️
După ce apare un copil, e foarte ușor să te pui ultimul pe listă.
Dar să ai grijă de tine nu înseamnă că îți iubești copilul mai puțin.
Înseamnă că vrei să fii bine pentru el cât mai mult timp.
Nu trebuie să revii la cine erai înainte să devii părinte.
Construiește versiunea ta de acum.

Our baby girl is six months old today.
I have openly talked on social media about the fact that before I met Sohee, I wasn’t sure I ever wanted children, and I spent most of my adult life being terrified by the idea of having them.
Especially when I was younger, with my Crohn’s disease I wasn’t sure what my quality of life would look like and how easily I could look after another human.
And yes, I have struggled to keep all my plates spinning at the same time. I am not the most productive I have ever been at work, or in the gym, or in my social life with friends.
But being a Dad has been the most incredible gift and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
When I asked for parenting advice before she was born, many of you told us to be as present as possible because the days sometimes feel long but the years will feel short and I feel that so much in my heart already.
