IBM is enabling banks to use Swift's blockchain-based shared ledger for tokenized deposit transactions through its Digital Asset Haven platform 🏦

A new beta feature allows banks to use familiar ISO 20022 payment messages to instruct blockchain transactions, avoiding separate workflows.

Swift's ledger was developed with more than 40 financial institutions, with 17 currently participating in a tokenized deposit pilot.

The system supports bank-issued tokenized deposits and aims to enable 24/7 digital asset transfers while final settlement can still use existing banking systems ⏱️

IBM is also testing an on-premises version of Digital Asset Haven that regulated institutions can run directly within their own data centers 💻

The platform supports digital assets including stablecoins and tokenized deposits and can run on IBM Z and LinuxONE ⚙️

The initiative shows traditional banking infrastructure increasingly connecting with permissioned blockchains while preserving familiar payment standards 💳

Today's Pill - tokenized deposits are moving toward practical banking infrastructure, with blockchain increasingly being integrated into existing financial systems rather than replacing them 🔄
