🌍 China’s exposure to U.S. assets continues to decline.

Combined holdings of Treasuries, equities, and other U.S. securities have fallen to ~$1.56T, near the lowest level in ~14 years.

Excluding Belgium-held Treasuries often viewed as Chinese custodial accounts holdings drop to ~$1.16T, the lowest since 2008.

Official Treasury holdings fell to $682.6B in November, also near 2008 lows.

Reports suggest Chinese authorities are encouraging banks to reduce exposure to U.S. Treasuries.
