🚨 **BREAKING: TAIWAN IS CRACKING DOWN ON AI CHIP EXPORTS TO CHINA!** 🇹🇼🇨🇳🇺🇸

The global AI race just took another major turn! 🤯

Taiwan is preparing to tighten restrictions on advanced AI chip exports to China, aligning its policies more closely with the United States.

🔥 **Here's why this is a BIG deal:**

🔹 **Stricter AI Chip Controls:** Taiwan plans to restrict exports of advanced semiconductors and AI servers.

🔹 **Criminal Penalties:** Unauthorized shipments of restricted AI hardware to China could become a criminal offense.

🔹 **US–China Tech Rivalry:** The move strengthens Taiwan's alignment with Washington as competition for AI dominance intensifies.

🔹 **Global Supply Chain Impact:** Companies such as Nvidia and TSMC operate at the heart of an increasingly sensitive semiconductor industry.

📈 **What does this mean for investors?**

With AI chips powering everything from data centers to advanced robotics, tighter export restrictions could reshape competition, supply chains, and semiconductor investment strategies.

🌎 The battle for AI dominance isn't just about technology anymore — it's about geopolitics, trade, and economic power.

💬 **BIG QUESTION: Will these restrictions strengthen America's AI advantage, or accelerate China's push to develop its own advanced chips?**

Higher inflation → Fed rate hikes → Higher borrowing costs → AI companies forced to pull back spending → NVIDIA AND AI STOCKS GET SMOKED

CoreWeave is the canary in the coal mine the market is reacting to. It plans to borrow $80 billion over the next three years, and rising borrowing costs could threaten its ability to keep buying Nvidia’s chips.

But this isn’t just about CoreWeave.

The entire AI boom depends on massive amounts of debt-funded infrastructure spending. If interest rates rise, borrowing gets more expensive across the AI industry → Data center construction slows → Chip purchases decline → Nvidia and its suppliers come under pressure.

Higher rates are the biggest threat to the AI boom.

The S&P 500 has 500 companies. But two are expected to drive more earnings growth than the bottom 490 combined. 👀

2 companies expected to produce 1/3 of the entire S&P’s earnings growth.

2/3 of the earnings growth is expected by the top 10 companies.

MICRON & NVIDIA

Micron just reported 1,000% earnings-per-share growth, yet its stock fell after reporting. Now all eyes turn to Nvidia.

Index investing can still be a powerful strategy. But diversification isn’t always what it appears to be.

Last month, a new familiar face joined the S&P 500: Reddit. What does this mean for you? NOTHING! In fact, the S&P 500 swaps companies about 25 times a year and if you’re doing things right you won’t even notice. Going back to 1996, only 147 of the 500 companies on the S&P 500 list at the time are still included today. Index funds self-cleanse. Companies get booted off the list for all kinds of reasons. They shrink, get acquired, go bankrupt, or get replaced by the next big thing.

* “Buying Apple/Nvidia/Google/Whatever is a sure thing!” Why buy the “bad” stocks when you can just buy the gold-standard companies that are sure things? If I knew that, I’d have several yachts off the coast of Fiji. When you look through these lists, you realize that a “sure bet” of one decade may be the dying giant of the next. In 20 years, the top 10 will almost certainly look very different.

* “Tech giants have gotten too big.” Doomsdayers tell me how Nvidia, Apple, and Google alone make up over 20% of the S&P 500 and that “tech giants have gotten too big.” Well guess what? In 1973, IBM, AT&T, Exxon, Kodak, and GM made up 25% of the market. Since then, the S&P 500 has returned 27,029% (a CAGR of 11%).

That’s the “self-cleansing” nature of index funds. If you bought an index fund at the beginning of 1973, you would have realized a 27,029% return without doing any of the work of picking stocks. An index fund automatically adds the newest, fastest growing companies as they become big enough to be listed and drops the oldest/dying companies as they fall off the list. That means you always own the biggest and growing stocks in proportion to their size. If the tech giants of today aren’t going to be the biggest companies of the next decade, who will? Who cares! We own them all, and we'll benefit from the growth of every company.

As always, reminding you to build wealth by following the two PFC rules: 1.) Live below your means and 2.) Invest early and often.
